If the item(s) has been despatched then just return the item(s) to us (you are responsible for the return post, the return address will be on the invoice) for a refund, see the returns section for details.
RETURNS: Goods may be returned for a refund as long as they are in a new an unused condition if the tent factory is contacted within 7 working days after you the customer takes delivery of the products.
Orders will be refunded less the cost we the tent factory incured when sending the goods in the first instance.The following is a breakdown of our costs that we the tent factory will deduct from any refund.
0kg - 20kg less £5.99, 21kg - 25kg less £8.00, 26kg - 30kg less £10.00, 31kg - 40kg less £15.00, 41kg - 50kg less £20.00, 51kg - 60kg less £25.00, 61kg - 70kg less £30.00.
Tents will not be accepted for return if they have been pitched as we will not be able to supply the tent to a third party as a new product. We will not accept any parcels that have not been authorised by the tent factory first. It is your responsibility to pay for the return postage and we strongly recommend you use some way of tracking your parcel. Faulty goods may be returned for inspection, goods returned must be in a clean dry condition, otherwise they will be returned and you will be charged the price of the postage. If goods are returned it is the responsibility of you the customer for the return postage and the safety of the returned items. Any Item/s that is returned must be booked in by contacting the tent factory by either Tel: 01763 262555 or by email: info@thetentfactory.co.uk or by post to the address given in the "About Us" section on the home page of this web site.
ERRORS: While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of the goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. Sizes and colours are for use as a guide only.
OUT OF STOCK ITEMS:
If any item you have chosen is unavailable you shall be contacted via your e-mail address. If no response is made within 14 days your order will automatically be cancelled.
DELIVERY: Most items are in stock and will be sent out on the day of order if the order is received before 11.00 am; delivery is usually the next working day. If you have not received your goods within 4 working days please email info@thetentfactory.co.uk and we will track your order.
Our courier delivers to the delivery address not to a specific person, it is the customer’s responsibility to choose an appropriate safe & secure destination where you are happy for any person living there or working there to sign and receive the parcel.
You the customer must open all packages to check for shortages before you sign for the parcels. Shortages will not be excepted if you the customer have signed the delivery note without noting any shortages. Signing the delivery note is excepting all of the good you have ordered have been delivered.
SECURITY: Credit Card Security Shopping is safe with www.thetentfactory.co.uk because all details are sent using encrypted software. The credit card details are encrypted on your PC through the "encryption" page and they are only decrypted after they reach our computer. The method used is 128-bit encryption. Please note that none of our customers has ever reported to us fraudulent use of their credit card as a result of shopping with www.thetentfactory.co.uk.
IMPORTANT: As we destroy payment details after payment for goods has been completed, we will need to contact you if you require a refund or there is a difference in price on exchanges.
LIABILITY: Cross camping and leisure Ltd in this case T/A as www.thetentfactory.co.uk is not liable for compensation for any losses incurred due to late deliveries or goods discovered to be faulty after use. All goods must be checked for faults within 7 working days of taking delivery. We resreve the right to return to the manufacturer any goods that are found to be faulty after this period for inspection before any decision is made as to repair, replacement, refund or no further action.
CONTRACT:
We are not obliged to supply the goods to you until we have confirmed that we have both accepted your order and that it has been shipped. No contract will exist until we have dispatched the goods.
CAMPING TIPS:
Camping by its very nature brings you closer to the great outdoors and for this reason the tent factory cannot guarantee any tent to be fully waterproof. Windows, vents, doors and seams are points where water ingress may occur. We strongly recommend that when you purchase your tent you also purchase a tube of seam sealant and a tin of silicon spray to assist in keeping the elements at bay.
Polyester tents can suffer from excessive amounts of condensation and this can sometimes be reduced by opening and using the vents in the tent, keeping wet clothing etc out of the tent. Polycotton tents can also suffer from a build up of condensation but it will be far less than a tent made of a polyester fabric.
All tents supplied by the tent factory come with the correct amount of poles. Poles are constructed from glassfibre or steel or aluminium, none of the poles supplied can be guaranteed against storm damage. Pole sections can be replaced by the tent factory or any good camping retailer.
All tents supplied by the tent factory come with the correct amount of pegs. The pegs supplied with the tents are basic and are only suitable for fair weather summer use. We strongly recommend that when you purchase your tent that you also purchase a mixture of extra pegs that will suit many different ground conditions, for this reason the tent factory cannot guarantee any tent against storm damage.
A test pitch and run through of your camping equipment should be performed before any holidays are taken as the tent factory cannot be held responsible for any loss due to faulty items. All physical faults need to be reported to the tent factory within 7 days of receipt of your goods.
