One make camping ?

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Hi all

What do you all think about a camping weekend for campers with say just Outwell tents, Vangos, Khyam etc etc. Im sure we could sort out a few weekend for each make.

The garden centre where our shop is based has a campsite out the back. Its pretty basic, it has a shower and toilet for male and female but thats about it. There is a cafe in the garden centre.

Im sure I could get a deal on the fees, say £5 a night.

The site is just south west of Cambridge and there is a park and ride 3 or 4 miles up the road that takes you into Cambridge.

Anyway, its the basic idea of a one make weekend that i would like to know if anyone is interested in. I could get the tent brands to send me some free goodies and we could raffle them for charity etc.

What do you think.

Kampa Tents

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Well the new kid on the block has a new range of tents for next season (09). A cross between Outwell and Sunncamp is how i would describe the quality and styles. Prices are around the Outwell level for the new Kampa Ultimate range and prices between say Sunncamp and Vango for the very interesting Endurance range of tents. Look out for the Lulworth range as they are great value. The Lulworth 6 which is similar to the Outwell Montana 6 will sell for £299.99 but the 09 Montana 6 will be around the £399.99.

Kampa have come up with a first as far as i know with the new Fiesta caravan porch awning. With a heavier fabric than most light porch awnings the awning should last well. The new feature is a zip on annexe which as far as i know has never been done on these new lighter style awnings. The Fiesta will sell for £299.99 and the annexe for £129.99, not cheap for this style of porch awning but the size and quality will no doubt win through for the Kampa Fiesta awning. You can click on this link to see the Kampa Fiesta porch awning with the extra annexe fitted.

Kampa have also introduced a great range of porch awnings called the Kampa Rally 260, Kampa Rally 390. These two Kampa porch awnings are so solid with the same heavy 150D fabric which is also used on the Kampa Fiesta. All the Kampa porch awnings come in three colour ways. Again if you click the links you can get to see them.
