Hiya,

I'm interested in a Kampa Pendine 8 however I'm a little dubious about going for one as I havent come across the Kampa range before.

On paper it looks excellent but I'd like to know whether my money would be better spent on a different manufacturer?

I notice that most 8 man tents come with 3 bedroom pods where the larger one can be split into 2 rooms. Is there any option to have the 2 smaller bedroom bods made into a singal room so that we can have 2 large bedrooms?

Hello Guys,

I'm interested in the Kampa Pendine 8 however I havent come across any Kampa tents in the past. It looks a great tent on paper but I really dont want to buy this without hearing some unbias reviews on this tent.

Ideally, I wanted an 8 man tent which can have each pod open up so we have 2 large bedrooms. Theres never going to be more than 6 people in the tent. From what I can find out, this wont be the case as there are 3 seperate pods on this tent.

Does anyone have anything to say about this tent and about the options I might want coming from another manufacturer?

All help apreciated.

Hi Wilma
We hoped that Kampa would of made an enclosed vestibule for the Croyde 6 but when the seasons tents started to come through Kampa had not made one.
Maybe next year...

I am interested in the Kampa Croyde6, but am a little disappointed that you don't appear to offer a vestibule for this tent. However, I do note from your message of 1/2/10 that you do say it is possible to get a cover for the front of the porch. Where would this cover be available from?

Yes, thank you. I think the croyde might be a bit too big for the two of us. i'm now toying between the fistral 4 and the frinton 4 and hoping to see them erected over the weekend. Am i right in picking up on your preference for steel frames?
Is this based on any negative experiences of fibre glass/dynalite poles or is it more about the durability of the tent? Do you think the Fistral and Frinton tents are too large for dynalite, and would have benefitted from steel frames? If so, can you recommend another similar size tents which is steel framed?

I have to say, i hadn't heard of Kampa until a couple of days ago and am always keen to back smaller quality companies, rather than the larger ones, if indeed they do come up with the goods. Thanks again,
 Annie

Hi Annie
All tent that are made of Polyester will be hot in the summer, Yes the Fistral has a lot of windows but no more than most. My only comment would be look at the Kampa Croyde 6 tent. Steel frame so more stable and about the same size and price...

Hi Mark
Yes the poles do have some bracing....Its a fairly standard thing on these styles of poles. We have had the show model pitched for some time now and we have had some pretty windy weather and the Tenby has been one of the most stable tents on show. I have to say we use better pegs on all of the show model tents and most of the guys are out but even so its a solid tent. You need to get to see one if your interested as its a cracker of a tent if you need a lot of space or you need to sleep a lot of people.
